Where - Devonport Community House What - The Good Works Trust Food Bank provides crisis and emergency food parcels across the North Shore, and supports vulnerable and hard to reach whānau through several channels including a mobile Social Supermarket and a School Lunch kit program delivering lunch supplies to 7 schools on the shore. Drop Off Times - Drop off is available between 9am - 2pm weekdays throughout the whole of April. An initiative run by the Devonport Community House, Devonport-Takapuna Local Board to support Good Works Trust hands up programme. Time- 11am - 2pm Where - Devonport Community House What - Join us for a clothing swap extravaganza! Clean out your closets and refresh your wardrobe with our exciting swap event. How - Bring in your good quality adult's clothing and receive up to ten tokens to use on the swap shop day. Come along to our swap shop and use those tokens to grab some new-to-you clothing! Cash and eftpos available on the day for those without tokens or have run out! PUGLIA PASTA MAKING CLASSES FOR PARENTS & KIDSWhen - Saturday 25th May
Time- 2pm-4.30pm Where - Devonport Community House- Rimu Room What - In this hands-on cooking class, you will learn how to make fresh pasta by hand following the ancient Italian tradition. Cosimo will teach you the secrets of the perfect dough using the kneading and resting process, and the techniques to create different cuts of pasta using a classic pasta machine or shaping it by hand… spaghetti, tagliatelle, pappardelle, cavatelli, farfalle and more! Bookings - - Any child from the ages of 7 to 15 years old is welcome! - One adult per child ($130/couple), option to book for an extra child (additional $60) or parent (additional $75). Kauan has vast experience as a dancer, having studied Dance in Italy and then taught across Brazil and the United States. We are thrilled to have her teaching a dance class at the House and with our new mirrors in the hall, it is sure to be a fantastic opportunity to get fit and have fun!
